The Demons Of The Night Australian shock-rockers, Catwitch, are a live theatrical act not to
be missed.  Their dark and powerful presence along with their heavy and catchy songs create
the most entertaining show seen on the live circuit in a long time.  Coffins, bats and dolls which
have risen from the grave set the scene for their energetic and captivating
performance.Members of Catwitch are Kieran O’Reilly (vocals), Paul Tipping (bass), Hanny
(lead guitar), Aaron Salt (rhythm guitar) and Rob Charlton (drums). Their influences range from
the likes of Ozzy Osbourne and WASP to Marilyn Manson and My Dying Bride, but they have
a distinct sound and style which makes them stand out from the rest of the metal/goth scene.
Their strong presence always leave an ever-lasting impression. Catwitch first formed in 1993
and have been playing live on a regular basis ever since, always gaining a stronger following.
They have been included on the first ‘Metal Warriors’ video produced by Samson Productions.
The video contains a band interview and video clip for ‘Demons of the Night’, their trademark
song and title of their first demo.  They have also completed a video clip for their song
‘Judgment Day’ for the next Samson Productions video release.  These clips have been
televised on ‘RAGE’ (ABC T.V.) and ‘Asylum’ (Ch 31).  Both songs are included on the debut
album ‘PHOBOPHILIA’, .Phobophilia has had a fantastic response from the music industry, punters, and the media.  ‘The Breed’ and ‘The Burial’ have had regular airplay on 3PBS, 3RRR and JJJ metal programs.  Catwitch have also enjoyed plenty of  television exposure on ABC, SBS and Channel 31, as well as regular editorial in local and national magazines. The attention Catwitch have aroused has led to the filming of a half-hour documentary on the band titled ‘Hear No Evil’ which screened nationally on SBS TV, January 1998.  The documentary is a December Films production and shows different aspects of the band with insights into family relationships and obsessive fans.Catwitch have established themselves as one of the most exciting and entertaining acts to emerge in many years and are sure to keep shocking and rocking audiences for a long time to come.Catwitch are putting the bite back into metal!
